I do things for fun.
Some little snapshots from days I want to remember.
This month’s recommended tracks — a small snapshot of what I’ve been listening to and why I like them.
Daniel Caesar
I especially connect with this part of the lyrics: “And I'm, I'm scared of gettin’ older, it weighs upon my shoulders And you, you're scared of it too So we, maybe, should get together We'll take it all on better We should try something new, something new, something new.”
Cortis
Another track I really love is “Joyride” by Cortis. I used to listen to this song on repeat during a period when I was studying intensely — sometimes over 12 hours a day at the library. The beat and lyrics are all about freedom, speed, and breaking away from routine, and that contrast gave me a kind of vicarious escape. While I was stuck at my desk grinding through problem sets and readings, this song made me feel like I was actually out there — driving fast at night, windows down, no responsibilities for a moment. It became a small dose of liberation in the middle of long, exhausting study days.
Coldplay
I recently went to a Coldplay concert, and honestly, it was the best concert I’ve ever been to so far. Their final song was “feelslikeimfallinginlove”, and it completely blew me away. There’s something about this song that just lifts your mood instantly — it feels warm, hopeful, and light in a way that’s hard to describe. Every time I listen to it now, it brings me right back to that moment at the concert: the lights, the energy, the crowd singing together. It’s one of those songs that makes you feel happy for no reason, and because it reminds me of that night, I love it even more.
